About Us

Red Moon Restaurant and Pizzeria was established in 1968 shortly after homes were built in the Candlewood section of the town. The name "Red Moon" derives from an old Italian song "Luna Rossa" (translates into "Red Moon"):

The owners whom had a pizzeria in Brooklyn were determined to bring Brooklyn style pizza to the people of Howell.

Most of the new residents of Howell had migrated from Brooklyn and Staten Island and welcomed Red Moon's delicious Brooklyn style pizza and Italian food. The knowledge of Red Moon customers understanding the high quality of products we use is the secret to the success of the Red Moon.

Over the last four decades, getting food from Red Moon has become a tradition to the people of Howell. Maintaining that tradition for 3 generations is something that the Red Moon takes a lot of pride in.
